Off around Singapore

Well we arrived in Singapore around midnight and headed straight to the hotel. The drive from the airport to the hotel was only short which was good as we were both looking forward to a comfortable bed. The temperature was around 28 deg and very humid.
We decided to eat out for breakfast but there wasn't much choice. We found a small place that looked like they had toast and eggs on the menu so took pot luck. If you've ever thought about pot luck, don't do it. Gabriella couldn't eat her meal and we ended back at Gloria Jean's for coffee and a croissant.
Then it was on the Hop-on Hop-off bus to see the sites.
First stop was at Raffles Hotel.
This was a really worthwhile stop. The gentleman at the front was happy have his photo taken, but didn't want to smile.

We walked around one of the malls just to get some relief from the humidity and back on the bus. We drove past the wheel and casino which we'll visit tonight so we can get a nicer look with all the lights.
We continued on and took a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens. It's amazing what you can grow when you have plenty of water, sun and humidity.
Due to the long walk 13kms, we headed back to the hotel for a rest and shower and back out to dinner and the Singapore flyer. For people that don't know what that is, it's the equivalent to our Ferris wheel on the dock. We managed to get to the top when the light show started in the gardens by the bay. We will be visiting the gardens tomorrow night.
