Our first stop was Warwick Castle located in, yes, you guessed it, Warwickshire. The castle is representative of medieval England, and, while it' s history is interesting , I would have been happy to skip this and have spent more time in Stratford. The castle is now owned by theme park owners and therefore it is aimed at children and families. And yes, all of the children across the UK were there! Not really, but it seemed that way.

Next it was onto Stratford, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
Beautiful spot but again very busy. I said to Rodney that the English don't often get good weather and they come out in droves when the sun shines. It would have been nice to spend more time there but being on a day tour doesn't afford too much flexibility. ' Too be or not to not to be,that is the question'. We came across a street busker who was singing a beautiful song from Phantom of the Opera and we would have loved to have stayed to listen to him but alas the bus awaits upon yonder !
Last stop was Oxford. Beautiful architecture and full of history.
One thing that stands out for us is the years of history behind each story and every building across Europe.
Tomorrow we head off again to rural England to visit Bath and Stonehenge.
